Investigation Summary
Employee #1 was assisting a coworker in hanging Christmas lights on one of the buildings at the Chicago Ridge Mall. They were at the edge of the roof, and one worker was attaching the lights to plastic clips already in place. Employee #1 was apparently walking backward while uncoiling the string of lights when he approached the roof corner and fell off. He was killed.
