Employee injured when struck by falling tree

Employee #1 was felling trees with a chain saw when a tree he had left hung in other tree tops either was blown free by the wind or was jarred loose by the movement of a skid operating in the area the falling tree struck Employee #1 across the chest and left arm. The force of the tree broke several ribs, his left arm, and punctured his lung.
