EMPLOYEE INJURED FINGERS FROM A PUNCH PRESS

On January 15, 1990, an employee was operating a punch press when he attempted to remove a part that was stuck in the die with a screwdriver. The punch press activated during his attempt to extract the part and the press came down on his right hand amputating the first two fingers. His injuries required hospitalization.
