TWO BUILDINGS COLLAPSED ON WORKERS

ON APRIL 4, 1984 AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM, 13 EMPLOYEES WERE WORKING ON RENOVATING THE BUILDINGS AT 104-106 DELANCY ST. NY. NY. WHEN, FOR REASONS YET UNKNOWN, THE TWO BUILDINGS COLLAPSED KILLING EMPLYOEES NO. 1 & 2 AND INJURING EMPLOYEES NO. 3 TO 7 WITH VARIOUS CUTS AND BRUISES. APPARENTLY THE BUILDING MIGHT HAVE COLLAPSED BECAUSE OF UNSOUND STRUCTURAL MEMBERS. THE INJURIED WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND TREATED FOR THEIR INJURIES AND RELEASED WITHOUT HOSPITALIZATION.
