Investigation Summary
At 2:00 p.m. on June 30, 2023, an employee working for a car wash company was in charge of washing and dry-cleaning fleet vehicles at several locations. At 4:30 a.m. the employee and a coworker arrived at the yard. At 5:20 a.m. they arrived at the work site and around 5:30 a.m. they began to perform their work activities. The employee reported feeling tired with a stomachache and was told to take a break. The employee stopped working between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., laying on the ground between two vans to rest. Sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., the coworker noticed the employee was not breathing. The narrative indicated that the cause of death is unknown at this time, pending the coroner's report.
