Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working in a hotel when he had lunch with a coworker in close proximity to one another without distancing or masking. The coworker who was talking with the employee at lunch, unknowingly had caught COVID from his daughter and was not displaying any signs or symptoms when he arrived at work. The employee was hospitalized for COVID-19 and later died from the infection on August 13, 2021.
