Employee Is Killed By Drowning When Caught Underneath Tracto

At 3:00 p.m. on July 7, 2022, an employee was operating a John Deere Zero-Turn r ide-on mower to cut along the edge of a pond. The employee became stuck in the mud at the edge of the pond and asked his coworkers to get a tow strap to pull the mower out. When the coworkers returned from fetching the strap, they found t he employee underneath the unpowered mower, with his head partially submerged in water. The employee was killed as a result of drowning.
