Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On December 3, 2021, an employee who had been working as a full-time school teacher at at an education center teaching onsite classes died from COVID-19 infection. The employee began to experience COVID-19 related symptoms on November 5, 2021, and tested positive for COVID-19 on November 12, 2021. On November 15, 2021, the employee was hospitalized. The employer stated there was a COVID-19 outbreak at the school which caused the school to close and conduct classes virtually from November 11, 2021 until November 29, 2021. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are also not included in the narrative.
