Investigation Summary

On December 12, 2021, an employee who had become ill with COVID-19 died. On October 31, 2021, the employee was hospitalized and was placed on a ventilator sometime before Thanksgiving. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on November 1, 2021. The employee worked with a coworker in the enrollment office who tested positive for COVID-19 in October. The college did not perform contact tracing. The employee had worked in a lab assisting three students with enrollment and filling out FAFSA forms. Employees worked a hybrid model of remote and on-site work. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
