Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

Employee #1, a County Sherrif's Deputy, had recently interviewed a suspect and his fiance due to their possible involvment in a hit and run motor vehicle accident. The suspect called dispatch 3 days later advising that he and his fiance tested positve for COVID-19. The employee was tested and found to be positive as well. On August 19, 2021, the employee died from COVID-19. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
