An employee, a deputy sheriff, performed inmate inspections and control duties at a detention facility. At 5:00 p.m. on August 26, 2021, the employee was hospitalized for treatment of COVID-19. Two other employees at the location developed COVID-19 around the same time but did not require hospitalization. The employee recovered from his infection.
