An employee was working in a correctional facility performing tasks such as coordinating travel for personnel to and from the local airport. The employee was exposed to personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 while handling cases. The employee contracted COVID-19 and died from complications of the infection at 9:00 a.m. on August 30, 2021.
