Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working at a supermarket. It was part of a large national chain. She worked as a baker in the bakery and delicatessen department. She made and packaged goods for retail sale. Her last day of work was August 26, 2021. She tested positive for COVID-19 the following day, August 27, 2021. At 1:00 p.m. on September 2, 2021, she died. On August 25, 2021, a coworker in the same department had reported a positive test result for COVID-19. The employee must have contracted COVID-19 on or about August 26, 2021.
