An employee treated patients with COVID-19 or COVID-19 related symptoms in the Emergency Department. On or about August 10, 2021, the employee worked a full shift, and the following day the employee developed COVID-19 related symptoms. On or about August 13, 2021, the employee tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was hospitalized due to COVID-19 related signs and symptoms at approximately 8:00 a.m. on August 19, 2021.
