Investigation Summary
An employee was preparing food and washing dishes in the kitchen area of the facility, in close proximity to a coworker who had known exposure to COVID-19. The employee reported to work ill and was tested for COVID-19. The test was negative and went to the local emergency room, where he then tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was hospitalized because of complications from the virus and died at 3:01 p.m. on August 24, 2021.
