Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a dietary aide at a nursing care or skilled nursing facility. She washed dishes, and she served meals. She did not have direct contact with residents. She initially tested positive for COVID-19 during a rapid test made on July 27, 2021, when she checked into work. It was learned from the facility's manager on about Monday, August 9, that the employee had been hospitalized for about a week sometime around August 2 or August 3. It was learned at 3:30 p.m. on August 12 that the employee had died.
