Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as a state police Lieutenant and had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when he began to show signs of infection on July 17, 2021, which was confirmed by testing the same day. The employee self-isolated at home and on July 27, 2021, he became confused and collapsed as he was preparing to leave for the emergency room. The employee died on arrival at the hospital from complications of his infection.
