Investigation Summary
An employee had been working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. On July 8, 2021, the employee was tested during a routine COVID-19 testing event that was given to all employees. The employee tested positive and was sent home to quarantine the same day. Approximately one week after being quarantined at home the employee was hospitalized for 3 days requiring a blood transfusion from complications related to COVID-19.
