An employee was working in the purchasing department of a mineral mining facility when he became sick while at work on December 7, 2020. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on December 8, 2020 and was hospitalized on December 23, 2020. The employee was discharged to his home on January 6, 2021 and died at 9:45 a.m. on January 8, 2021, due to COVID-19-related liver failure.
