Event: 06/24/2021
Employee fractures leg after falling from ladder while carry

At approximately 3:00 p.m. on June 24, 2021, an employee was attempting to carry a 45-pound solar panel up an extension ladder to complete the final installation above the front door of a residence. Other employees were unavailable to assist. The employee carried the panel in his right hand while ascending the ladder. The employee reported that the soles of his shoes were wet from a puddle prior to climbing. Around the third or fourth rung, the employee fell from the ladder. Although they did not report injury from the fall itself, the solar panel landed on his left leg, resulting in fractures. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
