Employee Is Killed When Car Falls Off Jack

At 5:00 p.m. on May 12, 2021, an employee, working part-time in a tire shop, was under a customer's car changing the oil. The car was lifted and supported by a jack but there were no jack stands. The jack failed and the car fell onto the em ployee resulting in crushing injuries to his head and abdomen and severe bleedin g. The employee died from his injuries.
