Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On February 2, 2021, an employee who worked for a respiratory equipment rental company died from COVID-19. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on December 31, 2021. The employer appeared to be complying with CDC guidance at the time the employee tested positive. The investigation was not able to show that the employee contracted COVID-19 through workplace exposure.
