Investigation Summary
At approximately 12:00 a.m. on May 24, 2021, an employee and a coworker were maintenance technicians. They were involved in an altercation during the process of preparing a living unit for a tenant that was soon to move into the unit. The employee proceeded to call the coworker an offensive term, which resulted in coworkers going to their personal vehicle to acquire their personal firearm. The coworker then discharged his firearm into the employee, which resulted in immediate death. The coworker reported the incident himself to the Chief Operations Manager, which resulted in their arrest.
