Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as a computer programmer for a metal service center and wholesaler of other metals. A proxy bracelet he wore identified him as having been within 6 feet (1.8 meters) of a coworker for more than 15 minutes within a 24-hour period of the colleague's having tested positive for COVID-19. Following that, the employee was quarantined. His last day at work was April 19, 2021. During his quarantine, the employee experienced difficulty breathing. He was admitted to the hospital. At 8:00 a.m. on May 15, 2021, he died during his hospitalization. He had also tested positive for COVID-19, and he died from complications related to COVID-19.
