Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as a K-9 agent for a federal agency that guarded the border between the United States and Mexico. On Feb. 13, 2021, he was called out to assist a local police department in a traffic stop. The individual who was detained was infected with the virus that causes COVID-19. The agent became infected thru contact. He contracted COVID-19. He was hospitalized. At 6:00 p.m. on May 8, 2021, he died.
