Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On March 14, 2021, an employee who worked as a part-time Bus Driver for a public school district died from COVID-19. The employee's last day of work was February 6, 2021. On February 17, 2021, the employee notified his employer of a doctor's appointment. On February 22, 2021, the employee notified his employer that he was diagnosed with COVID-19. On February 26, 2021, the employee was admitted to the hospital, where he remained until his death. The disttrict's transportation department had no known employees with COVID-19 before February 17, 2021 or afterwards. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
