Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On December 3, 2020, an employee who had worked as a Care Partner for a Retirement Community died from acute hypoxic respiratory failure and COVID-19 related pneumonia. From October 26, 2020 through October 2020, the employee had cared for a resident who became ill. On October 31, 2020, the resident tested positive for COVID-19. The employee, whose last day of work was October 31, 2020, left work with no symptoms. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on November 13, 2020, and was hospitalized on November 19, 2020. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
