Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At 8:00 a.m. on January 4, 2021, an employee who had worked as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) was reported as having contracted a COVID-19 infection. The narrative does not indicate if the employee was diagnosed on that date and sent home or hospitalized on that date. According to employer, the employee worked in the ICU with COVID-19 positive patients. The preliminary report indicated the employee died on the weekend of January 16, 2021, however, discussion with the hospital EH&S department confirmed the employee actually died on January 21, 2021.
