Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee had been working for a City general service/fleet services department. The employer manages facilities, equipment, supplies, maintenance, and provides other support services to elected officials, City departments and residents. The employee last worked on December 3, 2020, and tested positive for COVID-19 on January 9, 2021. On January 10, 2021, the employee was transported to a hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 and was hospitalized until he died on January 29,2021. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. The employer is looking into contact tracing but didn't learn of the hospitalization until January 20, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
