Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee worked as a production assistant. The employee had their own desk which was 6 feet apart or greater from other employees. The employee did not have direct contact with co-workers, very minimal contact for 5-10 seconds to provide employees with job tasks. There was a COVID- 19 outbreak at the facility. After the outbreak, the business closed down for 2-3 days for disinfecting. All the employees were tested on December 3, 2020, and the employee tested negative. The employee's last day of work was December 11, 2020, the employee was not feeling well and had pain so the employee decided to get tested. The employee retested on December 13, 2020, and the results were positive. On December 19, 2020, the employee had difficulty breathing and was admitted to the hospital. The employee died from complications from COVID-19 on December 15, 2020.
