Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

Employee #1, who works at the construction site, died due to COVID-19 on February 12, 2020. On January 6, 2021, coworker #1, a laborer, felt ill so he called in sick. He stayed home from then on and took the COVID-19 test on January 11, 2021. On January 13, he was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Coworker #1 stated that he worked with Employee #1 in the first week of January but he does not know how he got COVID-19. Coworker #2, a grade setter, had symptoms on January 10, 2020, so he was tested positive for COVID-19 on January 11, 2021, and was confirmed positive the same day. He stated that his illness only lasted 2 days. He did not work with Employee #1 or coworker #1 in the month of January and he was not near them because he worked at the other side of the construction project. Coworker #3, a labor lead man, had symptoms on January 12, 2020, also tested positive for COVID-19 on January 13, 2021. He stated he did not work or cross paths with Coworker #1 but he did work with Employee #1 during January. Coworker #4, also a heavy machine operator, had no symptoms but was tested and confirmed positive for COVID-19 on January 15, 2021. Coworker #4 worked with Coworker #2. He worked with Employee #1 in early January but they were always inside their vehicles. He may have cross paths with Employee #1 when he got on a vehicle that he used but he stated that he sanitized every vehicle he gets on because that is regular protocol. He did not know how he was infected with COVID-19. Coworker #5, also a heavy machine operator/grade setter, had no symptoms but was tested and confirmed positive for COVID-19 on January 15, 2021. He worked with Employee #1 during the first week of January but he stated that at the time, Employee #1 was in his vehicle and he was on the ground grading.
