Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee worked as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at a nursing care facility. The employee was assigned to work in the COVID-19 Unit at the facility. On December 23, 2020, the employee tested positive for COVID-19 as part of routine facility testing. A few days later, the employee was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where she died on January 17, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
