Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee who had been working on the repackaging line at a vitamins and dietary supplements manufacturing site. On January 8, 2021, an employee was notified that she had been exposed to COVID-19 at her workplace and needed to get tested. The employee did not return to work and got tested on January 9, 2021, receiving a positive result on January 10, 2021. On January 11, 2021, the employee notified her employer of the test result. On January 18, 2021, the employee was transported to the hospital where she was admitted. At 8:00 a.m. on January 20, 2021, the employee was intubated in the ICU and died. The employee had not established a written COVID-19 Prevention Program.
