Investigation Summary
An employee who had been working as an Associate Cook for a senior living community had been reported hospitalized with a COVID-19 infection. The employee had worked during the two weeks prior to the onset of the COVID-19 related symptoms on December 8, 2020. On December 13, 2020, the employee was hospitalized. On January 22, 2021, the employee was confirmed positive. On January 28, 2021, the employee died as a result of his illness. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases or Repiratory Protection policies and procedures in place.
