Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a grounds crew foreman at a large high school district when he contracted COVID-19. The employee would eat lunch with his crew at a table that did not allow for social distancing while the employees were eating, drinking, and talking without masks. The employee was hospitalized on January 13, 2021, and died due to complications of his infection at 8:00a.m. on January 29, 2021. A crew member that would eat lunch with the employee and two other employees also tested positive for COVID-19.
