Investigation Summary
At 12:00 noon on February 1, 2021, three employees were collecting recyclables in a rural area during a snowstorm. The recycling truck was traveling down the road between stops with two employees in the cab and one employee riding on the exterior driver's side rider's step when the driver lost control of the vehicle and slid off the road. The recycling truck flipped onto the driver's side crushing the exterior employee under the vehicle. The employee was killed. The employees in the cab of the truck experienced injuries that did not require hospitalization.
