Investigation Summary
At 2:15 a.m. on January 28, 2021, an employee was standing at a ship berth in a roadway talking to a coworker who was sitting in a vehicle. A bob-tail tractor-trailer driver pulled up next to the employee and handed her a cell phone that needed to be charged. As the driver pulled away, the back wheels on the trailer-chassis struck and ran over the employee, killing her.
