Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 15, 2021, an employee was performing normal job duties such as ADLs on the night shift in the non-covid unit. On January 2, 2021, the employee was sent home due to illness within the first hour of their shift. On or about January 4, 2021, the employee was taken to the hospital due to the severity of the illness and was tested and confirmed positive for COVID-19. The employee remained hospitalized until she died on January 16, 2021, due to complications with COVID-19.
