An employee worked as Registered Nurse at a hospital. On December 9, 2020, the employee felt ill. She took a COVID-19 test on December 10, 2020, and received a positive test result on December 11, 2020. At 8:00 a.m. on December 17, 2020, the employee was hospitalized and remained in hospital until she died due to COVID019 on January 21, 2021. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
