Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a certified nurses aid at a skilled nursing facility which included assisting residents with daily life activities. Over 75% of the employee's duties were conducted in resident rooms. The employee had been working with COVID-19 positive residents when on August 7, 2020, she experienced cough, fatigue, and abdominal pain and was admitted to a local hospital. The employee died on August 24, 2020, due to COVID-19 related double pneumonia.
