Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working in a hospital when he began feeling ill after working his shift on January 1, 2021. The employee called out sick on January 3, and scheduled to get tested for COVID-19 on January 8. The employee's result came back positive on the same day, and the employer required the employee to quarantine at home. Employee self-quarantined for the following days at home and was brought via ambulance to the hospital at 4:20 p.m. on January 12, 2021, where he died due to COVID-19 related cardiac arrest that same day.
