Employee With Covid-19 Infection Is Hospitalized

On November 23, 2020, an employee was leaving for work when he received a phone call from his employer that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The employee wo rked for a skilled nursing facility but his occupation was not indicated in the narrative. The employee reported that he went back to bed and woke up with a fev er. The employee's symptoms progressed and he began to experience difficultly br eathing. The employee was admitted to the hospital the following day. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative . The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
