At 9:00 a.m. on December 15, 2020, an employee who worked as a Monitor Technicia n providing patient care at a hospital was admitted with COVID-19. The employer is a transitional care hospital that provides healthcare for patients admitted w ith a variety of ailments. The employee's last day of work was December 9, 2020. The employee's immediate supervisor was the Nurse Manager. The employee was hos pitalized due to acute respiratory failure with hypoxia associated with COVID-19 . The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
