Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as the automotive manager for a state government and was in charge of the parking garage and valet services for the state government-owned property. The employee supervised four department employees, as well as working with staff from the state senate, assembly, legislature, and other official staff members. The employee's last day of work was on December 7, 2020, and he began to experience symptoms of COVID-19 the next day. The employee was tested for COVID-19 and received a positive test result. The employee's symptoms worsened while at home in quarantine and he as taken to a hospital where he was admitted. The employee died while in the hospital on December 22, 2020, due to underlying health conditions and complications related to COVID-19 infection.
