Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working in the office of a nursing home with no direct contact with residents in the facility when she became ill with COVID-19. The employee was provided a face covering, social distancing was practiced, and screening was conducted prior to entry for work. The employee's daughter worked for a different healthcare facility and also contracted COVID-19. The employee's symptoms worsened and she subsequently died at 8:00 a.m. on December 22, 2020.
