Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At 5:30 p.m. on December 10, 2020, an employee who worked in the offices of a County Sheriff's Department was reported hospitalized with COVID-19. On December 27, 2020, the employee died from COVID-19. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. Later, on January 13, 2020, a coworker tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized the next day. The coworker died in the hospital on March 1, 2020. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
