Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 131904.015
Event: 12/21/2020
Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on December 21, 2020, an employee was employed as a crew member at the restaurant and the duties included general cleaning, stocking of products and materials, preparing food and assisting with interacting with the general public. The employee last worked on December 5, 2020, and on December 10, 2020, tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was required to quarantine, and the employer conducted contact tracing at the facility with the other employees. The employer determined that the employee's spouse, that worked at another fast food restaurant in the same complex, had tested positive for COVID-19 several days before the employee took the test. The employee died from complications from COVID-19 after being hospitalized.
