Investigation Summary
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on December 20, 2020, an employee worked as a Sitter/Transporter and often sat and cared for COVID-19 patients. The employee floated to various areas such as Med Surgery., Critical Care, ED, and the COVID Unit to perform these duties. The employee began having COVID-19 symptoms on December 10, 2020, which was the employee's last date of work. The employee received a positive test result on December 15, 2020. The employee then went to the hospital on December 18, 2020 and was hospitalized. The employee died on December 20, 2020, from complications from the COVID-19 virus.
