Investigation Summary
At approximately 6:30 p.m. on December 4, 2020, an employee was working as a Registered Nurse in the COVID-19 ward of the company. The employee and coworkers in the COVID-19 Unit were tested twice a week for COVID-19 using rapid tests. The employee had no previous COVID-19 positive test prior to the test on December 7, 2020. The employee called the employer and reported not feeling well on December 4, 2020. After three days, the employee returned to work and was tested for COVID-19 as part of the biweekly testing. The employee was sent home to quarantine after a positive test. The employee later died on December 15, 2020, from complications due to COVID-19.
