Employee suffers partial finger amputation while using pow r

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 3, 2020, an employee was assisting in tree felling with a pow r-pull rope puller. While applying tension to the tree, a tooth on the pow r-pull rope puller broke, causing the rope to slip. The employee's right index finger became caught in the rope, resulting in a partial amputation. The employee was initially transported to Dominican Hospital and later transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for further treatment. The Division was notified of the incident on December 7, 2020, by the Emergency Room's Safety Director. An inspection was performed on December 11, 2020, following discussions with the Field Supervisor.
